Morocco beckons with its dazzling fusion of ancient culture, breathtaking landscapes, and warm hospitality, promising every visitor an adventure that lingers in memory long after the journey ends. Here are a few reasons why you must go and visit Morocco.

From the bustling souks of Marrakech to the serene sands of the Sahara Desert, Morocco offers a vibrant tapestry of experiences. Morocco is renowned for its lively cities, stunning natural scenery, and a culture that effortlessly blends modern influences with centuries-old traditions. Visitors can explore vibrant marketplaces, sample aromatic spices, and discover intricate mosaics that tell stories of the country’s rich past. With welcoming locals and an atmosphere steeped in history, Morocco captivates with its unique blend of tradition and beauty and offers an unforgettable travel experience for those seeking adventure and authenticity.

We chose to spend our 15-day spring break to go around the southern part of Morocco. We started our journey in Marrakech and had our first medina and riad experience in this city. In the next days we drove further away to visit the Atlas Mountains, Ait-Ben-Haddou, Ourzazate, Dades Valley and Zagora, in further preparing us for the visit of our lifetime: the Sahara Desert. After our overnight stay in a desert camp in Erg Chegaga, we drove further up back heading to the Atlantic seacoast and spent the rest of the days in Essaouira. Overall, our Morocco journey was intense, gritty, adventurous and mesmerizing. Definitely a very memorable one, and I would really, really like to come back and visit the other places, most likely the historic cities at the northern part of Morocco. Hopefully we have more time to immerse in Morocco’s history, culture and tradition the next time.
